Dear Sir: 
I beg to advise you that Mr. Edison has been informed of your not coming to the Laboratory at the time that you should have come and if your trying to put in time for same, stating that you had been to work up in the Park. 
He instructed me that I was to discharge you for same and ask you to turn in everything which you have belonging to him. 
The above to go into effect tonight.
