Thos Butler Esq.

New York
Dear Sir:
I beg to advise you that Mr. Edison wished me to arrange with you in regard to your company taking over Messrs Lehman, Casterline and Kayper on your Pay Roll.
These three men are surveying and prospecting all the time for the New Jersey and Penn Concent Works
Their week ends Mar 31-1892 and it would be advisable to start them on your book on April 1-1892
Hoping to hear from you as soon as possible I remain
Yours truly
J.F. Randolph

Dear Sir:-
I beg to advise you that I have just received a memorandum from Mr. Edison asking me to arrange with you to have the men employed in the Lamp Room and the Glass Blower and his assistant taken from the Laboratory Pay Roll and paid direct from the Lamp Works.
Tomorrow we pay off and it pays all the above in full to March 25-1892.
If you wish to send them money to me or have us keep their time and send it to you we will be only too glad to do so.
Yours truly
John F. Randolph
