Dear Sir:- 
I beg to advise you that I have a note dated January 27th 1890 for six months no grace drawn in favor of the United States Trust Co. for ($70000) Seventy Thousand Dollars with interest at 4% which is payable on Wednesday July 27th1892.   
Will you please send them a check for the amount of the note $70000.00/100 and the interest $1400.00/100 and obtain from them the note and $100000.00 per value Bonds of the Cincinnat, Indianapolis, St. Louis and Chicago R.R. Co and hold said Bonds for me. 
Please charge the above note with interest to my account as per arrangements with Mr. Randolph and oblige.
