Miss Mary J. Gill

Madam:-
I beg to advise you that Mr. Edison has instructed me to pay out six dollars ($6.00/100) per week for eight weeks in buying groceries for you.
Will you please arrange with any grocer that you wish to trade with to supply you with groceries and have him make out each week for eight weeks his bill for not more than six dollars giving the date when the goods were bought and what each item in for and at the end of each week for eight weeks send the bill to me and say if it is correct and I will send the money to the Grocer and have the bill receipted and hand it to Mr. Edison to show him that I have carried out his instructions
I would come and see you in regard to this myself but I have some sickness at home and dare not leave so I send this by Mr. Miller and anything you tell him will be just the same as though you told me.
Yours truly
John F. Randolph
