Dear Sirs:-
Mr. Randolph my bookkeeper has called my attention to the fact that there are two judgements which appear against me, and which you would like to have cancelled of record, which amount to in all #361.36/100.
I beg to state that at the present time I am unable to do anything in regard to the above as I do not know of the whereabouts of Messrs Murray and Gillieland but I am quite sure that the same has been paid or I would have heard from the judgements long ago
Mr Randolph informs me that at your request he sent you the old Bond and Mortgage dated Oct 20-1887 which you desired to have record cancelled before making out the new Bond and Mortgage and which now you refuse to return him until the above judgements are cancelled. I cannot see which these papers have to do with the above judgement, and must request you to send them to me immediately.
Yours truly
Thos A Edison
