New York City.
Dear Sir:-
Referring to the correspondence with the Second Avenue Railroad Company of New York, and to your letter of 24th instant on the subject, Mr. Edison says you had better advice the Second Avenue Railroad people that as soon as possible he will visit their New York office and confer with them relative to testing [illegible] new electrical system on their lines. Mr. Edison says further that it will be necessary for him to obtain data from these people before he can determine whether it is practical and convenient to make the first experiment on their read.
