Dear Sir:-
With reference to your letter of 28th of October addressed to Mr. Edison, with relation to the Crystal Water Palace which it is proposed to erect at Chicago in connection with the Columbian Exposition to be held in that City, Mr. Edison regrets that he cannot entertain your proposition, relative to his [illegible] interested in the project. Mr. Edison’s own exhibit at the World’s Fair will call for all of his attention and it would be quite impracticable for him to devote any of his time to other matters connected therewith.
In regard to renting space for exhibition purposes is the proposed building, and also with reference to furnishing the apparel and appliances necessary for the electrical displays referred to, in your letter, you might communicate with the home office of the Edison Gen’l. Elec. Co., Edison Building, Broad St., New York City which Company will have charge of all the details of the Edison Exhibit.
