Nov. 5, 1891.
Prof. Wm. D. Marks,
No. 909 Sansom Street,
Philadelphia, Pa.
Dear Sir:-
Mr. Edison has read your letter of 28th ultimo, in which you submit to him for his consideration the design of a wrought iron water tube boiler, the outgrowth of your own experience with the forms new extant.
In reply he has instructed me to inform you that the Edison people in New York are interested with the Moran Boiler, and anything that he might say to them on the subject of boilers would not have any effect.
All the letters which you send to Mr. Edison with relation to electric lighting in Philadelphia he sends to Messrs. Drexel, Morgan & Co., with the view of inducing them to take hold of the matter.
Yours truly,
A. O. Tate
