Nov. 9, 1891. A. O. Tate, Esq., Edison Building, Broad St., New York City. Dear Sir:- In regard to the insulating compound experiments which are being conducted at the Laboratory, I beg to advise you that pursuant to instructions received from Mr. Edison, Mr. Aylesworth starts to-day for Schenectady with some samples of a compound which he believes is suitable for use in connection with your No. 1 grad wire. The samples will be submitted to Mr. Kreusi, and when Mr. Aylesworth returns from Schenectady I will write you again. Yours truly, Thomas Maguire
