Dear Sir:-
Mr. Edison is very much obliged for your favor of 20th instant, enclosing cable message from Mr. John Verity, of London, England. He will be further obliged if you will kindly send to Mr. Verity the following reply:
“Never heard of the lady. That all such things are humbug is my belief. Edison.”
This reply has been delayed owing to the absence of Mr. Edison.
