Dear Sir:-
Reply to your letter of 14th instant has been delayed owing to the absence of Mr. Edison Mr. Edison would be pleased to have you send to him at the Laboratory sample of the natural iron sand to which you refer. Upon receipt of the sample he will examine it and report to you further. Mr. Edison requested me to ask if the mineral property which you mention is the “Mosic” deposit in the St. Lawrence? In regard to the possibility of finding parties in New York who would be willing to take hold of the properties in question and work them on joint account, Mr. Edison fears that the excessive freight charges would tend to prevent people from becoming interested in such an enterprise.
Yours very truly,
A. O. Tate
Private Secretary.
