Dear Sir:- 
Reply to our letter of 12th ultimo in regard to The Florida Phosphate Industry, has been delayed owing to the absence of Mr. Edison. 
Mr. Edison has now instructed me to inform you that he expects to spend a part of next winter in Florida at Fort Myers. He would then be very pleased to inspect some of the Florida Phosphate Mines.  
Mr. Edison notes your suggestion that he should devise a process for extracting the allumina which is present in much of your high grade rock. He will bear this in mind, but says that he fears that it is going to be a hard nut to crack. Thanking you for your communication, I am
