Dec. 21, 1891.
R. Smith, Esq., President,
United Linemen’s Association,
231 East 33rd St.,
New York.
Dear Sir:-
Pursuant to Mr. Edison’s instructions I am returning to you, under another cover, the one hundred tickets for the Annual Bill of your Association which were received in to-day’s mail, and which are referred to in your letter dated 14th instant. Mr. Edison objects to this method of collecting funds being worked on him; he says that if you will adopt the proper method he will be only too happy to purchase some of the tickets.
Yours truly,
A. O. Tate
Private Secretary.
