January 20, 1892. A. O. Tate, Esq., Edison Building, Broad Street, New York City. Dear Sir:- I have succeeded in obtaining a copy of the test of the battery fluid about which I spoke to you a few weeks ago, and I enclose the same herewith. The lady who controls this battery solution is willing to furnish us with a carboy of it for testing, provided she or her representative is allowed to be present when the test is conducted. Her object in making this provision is to insure against any analysis of the fluid being made, as she is anxious that the ingredients contained therein should not be discovered. The formulae is for sale, and the lady makes the foregoing offer under the impression that we would be likely purchasers in case the test proved the solution to be all that is claimed for it. Please return the copy of test when you are finished with it. Yours very truly, Thomas Maguire
