Dear Mr. Edison:-
I enclose herewith a letter received from Mr. James Symington, in which he asks Mr. Edison to send him a check for $30. I understand from Mr. Randolph that you desire all such requests referred to yourself before being acted upon. Please inform me if it is your wish that Mr. Edison should send the check asked for, or if you prefer to pay the money yourself. Also, please return Mr. Symington’s letter with your reply.
