Feb. 11, 1892.
Messrs. Seligman & Seligman,
Mills Bdg.,

15 Broad Street,
New York City.
Dear Sirs:-
Your letter of 8th instant, enclosing two assignments of Belgian patents for execution by Mr. Edison has been duly received. Your previous letter of 29th ultimo was also received, as were the documents referred to therein, namely, Power of Attorney for Cape Colony and seven assignments (not 8 assignments as erroneously stated by you) of inventions for Br. India, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, Tasmania and New Zealand, respectively, the same being forwarded for execution by Mr. Edison; also two assignments dated Dec. 14th, 1891 (a) G. G. Hardingham to Thomas A. Edison, and (b) G. E. Gouraud to T. A. Edison, of the rights for dolls etc. under certain British patents.
I beg to advise you that the matter of these assignments was referred by Mr. Edison to his lawyer, Major S. B. Eaton, who informs him that the same are not drawn in proper form. Mr. Edison has instructed Major Eaton to have other assignments prepared in proper form to take the place of those sent by you. As soon as the new documents are drawn up they will be executed by Mr. Edison and delivered to you. Trusting that this will be satisfactory.
I am, yours truly,
A. O. Tate
Private Secretary.
