March 15, 1892. Ezra Q. Williams, Esq., Chairman, Town Committee, West Orange, N. J. Dear Sir:- I understand that the subject of extending Park Avenue through Llewellyn Park is to be considered at the meeting of the Essex County Road Board to-morrow night. The proposed extension, if carried out, would be, in my opinion, a gross injustice to the residents of the Park, and I am therefore opposed to it. Instead of continuing Park Avenue I would suggest that your Committee provide for the widening of Valley Road, between Park and Fairmont Avenues. Money devoted to that purpose would be productive [of?] much more good to the community than if applied to the construction of roads in the Park, and would be appreciated by the tax-payers. Trusting that you will use your influence to prevent the proposed action being taken I am, yours truly, Thomas A. Edison
