March 16, 1892.
Mrs. Edison.-
I enclose herewith draft of a letter within Major Eaton is very anxious Mr. Edison should write to Sir William Thomson. The matter has already been brought to Mr. Edison’s notice, but so many other things engage his attention when at the Laboratory he has not had an opportunity to write the letter. I therefore send the draft to you and would request that you kindly bring it before Mr. Edison some evening when he is disengaged.
Since the letter was prepared Sir William has been raised by the [parage?], and he is now known as Baron Kelvin, by which title it will be necessary to address him. Please mention that fact to Mr. Edison
Yours respectfully,
Thomas Maguire
