MARCH 15th, 1892.
Ezra C. Williams, Esq.,
Chairman, Town Committee,
West Orange, N.J.
Dear Sir:-
I understand that the subject of extending Park Avenue through Llewellyn Park is to be considered at the incoming of the Essex County Road Board to-morrow night. The proposed extension if carried out, would be, in my opinion, a gross injustice to the residents of the Park Avenue, and I am therefore opposed to it. Instead of continuing Park Avenue I would suggest that your Committee provide for the widening of Valley Road, between Park and Fairmont Avenues. Money devoted to that purpose would be productive of much more good to the community than if applied to the construction of roads in the Park, and would be appreciated by the tax-payers.
Trusting that you will use your influence to prevent the proposed action being taken
I am, yours truly,
THOMAS A. EDISON.
