April 12, 1892.
Messrs. Seligman & Seligman,
Mills Building,
15 Broad Street,
New York City.
Dear Sir:-
Your letter of 11th instant has been received by Mr. Edison.
The assignments of phonograph patents which you refer to and which accompanied your favor of 23rd ultimo, were signed by Mr. Edison a few days ago and sent by him to Major Eaton, with instructions to deliver them to the Edison United Phonograph Co., and at the same time obtain from that Company an agreement to execute a license in his (Mr. Edison’s) favor, covering dolls etc., in each case where such reservation is not included.
The proposed power of attorney for Portugal which came enclosed with your letter now under reply has been forwarded by Mr. Edison to Major Eaton. It would save time were you to submit such documents as these to Major Eaton in the first instance.
Yours truly,
A.O. Tate
