Mr. R.D. Casterline,
c/o The Central House,
Reading, Pa.
Dear Sir:-
Your letter of 21st instant, returning letter of Aaron Ruth, is at hand.
Mr. Edison has requested us to forward to you the enclosed letter from Mr. G. Rowe, or Reading, Pa., together with sample of magnetic iron ore. Mr. Edison says that this is decomposed shist. Once before a man from Harrisburg sent Mr. Edison a sample of this ore, taken from a vein when he said was a mile wide and ten miles long; it was very high in iron. Mr. Edison wishes you to look out for this deposit; he is anxious that you should find it. Please give the matter your attention.
Yours truly,
A.O. Tate
Private Secretary.
