N.J & Penn’s Concentrating Wks.,
New York City.
Dear Sir:-
The following is an extract from a letter received by Mr. Edison from John Birkinbine, of Philadelphia:
"I wait for the U.S. Geological Survey, the quantity of concentrated from ore produced at the Ogden mine during the year 1891, or at any other point where the machines are in operation. The figures will not be made public and will be used to make up totals of concentrate produced, and that quantity of merchantable iron ore obtained from different States. For this purpose I enclose you a card…"
Mr. Edison has directed me to obtain from you the information requested by Mr. Birkinbine. I enclose herewith the card referred to in the above extract, which please fall out and return to this action when I will have it forwarded to Mr. Birkinbine.
