Messrs Dyer & Seely,
No. 35 Wall Street,
New York City.
Dear Sirs:-
Mr. Edison has read your letter of 7th instant in regard to an application of his that you have partly prepared. The subject matter of which is Composition Bricks formed of a fine or powdered material united by Saceharate of Lime; also directing attention to another of his applications relating to the use of sulphuric acid to take phosphorous out of ore. He wishes you to hold both these applications for a while longer, and he is not yet prepared to furnish the additional information which is to be included in the same, the experiments being still [illegible]
Yours truly,
Private Secretary.
