May 18, 1892. Thomas A. Edison, Esq., Ogdensburgh, N.J. Dear Sir:- I beg to confirm the following message telephoned to you from this office to-day:- “The mention of motors in my letter to you of 14th inst. referred to the motors which we intend using for supplying power in place of the engine in the machine shop. I am writing to you to-day in regard to the manufacture of small motors. We have not yet got an order, as the Committee appointed by Mr. Coffin has not rendered a decision. I have seen Mr. Rice and discussed the matter thoroughly with him. I have submitted models and curves and am leaving absolutely nothing undone to secure the order.” Yours truly, A.O. Tate Private Sec’y.
