Phillip S. Dyer, Esq.,
London, England.
My dear Dyer,-
I enclose herewith copy of a letter from Mr. J.H. Block, of Moscow, Russia, to which is attached copy of a notice from the Edison United Phonograph Company so the effect that they cannot furnish him with any supplies in the future. I also enclose you a copy of my reply to Mr. Block. Please note that portion of his letter, in which he asks if there is no way of getting supplies direct from New York. You, of course, understand that it would be inadvisable for us to inform Mr. Block that supplies can be obtained in this manner, but I would like to have it indicated to him in some manner, the matter of which I will leave to your delicate discretion that if he has some friends in New York who can accommodate him in this respect, they can purchase supplies without any difficulty. Tell Mr. Block to have his friends make application to the Edison Phonograph Works for whatever they require. Kindly give this your immediate attention.
Yours very truly,
Private Secretary.
