June 4, 1892. Mr. Mulford Wade, No. 3 Case Building, Cleveland, Ohio. Dear Sir:- Your letter of 23rd ultimo in regard to Mr. Edison’s Ore Milling Process was duly received, but reply to same has been unavoidably delayed. Mr. Edison has directed me to inform you that the difficulties which were met with in connection with his mining plant in New Jersey, and which you refer to in your letter, have all been overcome, and the plant is not being operated very successfully. In regard to the Wisconsin Iron lands, Mr. Edison’s expert have been over the Gogebio range etc., and he finds that the iron is so finely mixed with the martrite that it is hopeless to separate it by any commercial process. I regret that I am unable to inform you of any article that has been written on Mr. Edison’s magnetic separator other than the one to which you refer. Yours truly, Private Sec’y.
