Dear Mr. Eaton,-
I have received your memorandum in regard to Automatic affairs. I would have communicated with you before upon this subject, but Mr. Bush has not yet presented any definite plan for a settlement. Mr. Tate did not give Mr. Bush any instructions in this connection, beyond advising him that if it were to the best interests of the N.I.P. Co., I was quite willing that the Automatic Company could be wound up. I have no definite views myself as to how this should be done, but am awaiting information on that point. I understands that Mr. Bush is to submit plan during the next few days, and I will communicate with you as soon as I hear from him.
