June 10, 1892 Major S.B Eaton, Edison Building, Broad St., New York City. Dear Sir:- Referring to your letter of 8th instant, re bill of the American Surety Company for $150, I enclose herewith Mr. Edison’s check for this amount to the order of the A.S. Co. Mr. Edison does not desire to disturb the present situation of the estate of his late wife, but would be glad if the premium on the bond could be reduced. Can you effect a reduction with the American Bursty Co.? Yours truly, A.O. Tate Private Secretary.
