February 10th, 1893.
A.E. Kennelly, Esq.,
Edison Laboratory, Orange, N.J.
My Dear Mr. Kennelly:-
I return herewith Mr. Charrington's letter to you, in regard to the purchase of a Phonograph. The 1000 machines which we are making at the Edison Phonograph Works are for the Edison-Bell Corporation, Limited in London, England, and without doubt Mr. Charrington will be able to procure one of these instruments when they are delivered. The first shipment will be made in about four months time. We could not sell the machine here for use abroad, as it would be a breach of faith with the owners of the Foreign Patents.
Yours very truly,
AO Tate
