Dear Sir: -
A reply to your letter of January 16th last has been unavoidably delayed, owing to Mr. Edison's absence from home.
Mr. Edison's plan for treating Gout was confined merely to the removal of concretions of uric acid. A paper on the subject by Mr. Edison was read before the Berlin Academy of Medicine, in 1890.
Yours very truly,
[A.O. Tate?]
