April 7, 1893.
My dear Sir John,-
I have received, through Mr. George Munro of the Edison United Phonograph Co., your letter of 23rd ultimo, in regard to supplies for recharging your phonograph battery.
I have to-day instructed the Edison Manufacturing Company to send to you the necessary material for renewing 5 "T" cells, and the same will go forward to you by an early steamer.
Arrangements will, I hope, soon be completed which will enable you to obtain these battery supplies in London and do away with the necessity of sending to this country for them.
Trusting that you continue to derive much pleasure from the phonograph
I am, yours sincerely,
[Thos A Edison?]
To
Sir John Pender,
No. 16 Arlington St.,
London, W., England.
