Dear Sir:-
Mr. Edison received your letter of 12th instant. In regard to the questions concerning rock cutting which you wish to have answered, Mr. Edison directs me to say that he would prefer to show actual results in October next, when his Company will be handling 6,000 tons of rock daily and moving it 1,000 ft. or more, at a cost of 35ยข per cubic yard, on railroads, but with new ore handling appliances.
