Dear Sir;--
Mr. Edison has asked me to thank you for your letter to him of the 9th inst. He appreciates your kindness in offering to secure for him accommodations at Chicago, and would gladly avail himself thereof but for the fact that all the arrangements in connection with his proposed visit to the Fair are already completed. In conjunction with his father-in-law, Mr. Edison has rented the residence of young Dick and will stay there while in Chicago.
Again thanking you in his behalf, I am,
Yours very truly,
