June 7, 1893. My dear Mr. Edison,- I have just received the Bates Co. Trial Balance and Statements for June 1st. Their Accounts Receivable amount to $4,791.0[9?], while their Accounts Payable are only $442.54. These Accounts Receivable are all good. Bates is very careful in investigating the credit of his customers and never opens an account until he has received a satisfactory commercial report. Yours very truly, Thomas A. Edison, Esq., Orange, N. J.
