Sept. 8, '93.
Peter Dinzey, Esq.,
83 Pine St., New York City.
Dear Sir:--
Reply to your letter of 22nd ult., addressed to Mr. Edison, has been unavoidably delayed owing to his absence from home.
The Patent Office is O. K. What Mr. Edison complains of is the delays which occur in the courts in connection with cases which are brought before them for infringement of patents. Owing to these delays, inventors are prevented from receiving the pecuniary benefits to which they are entitled, and reform in this department of Law is urgently needed.
Yours truly,
A.O. Tate
Private Sec'y.
