Nov. 17th, 1893.
M. B. Leonard, Esq., Supt. of Telegraph,
Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad, Richmond, Va.
Dear Sir:--
Your letter of 8th inst. reached me a day or so ago. You must have resurrected an old bill, as the discount of 30 and 15% to which you refer has not been allowed to any one since the present form of battery was put on the market. As near as I can recollect this was about two years ago. 30% is the very best discount that can be allowed on the present form of cells, and we think that the improvement effected in the battery more than compensates for the lower discount.
Trusting that this explanation will be satisfactory, I am,
Yours very truly,
W.S. Logue
