Dear Sir:-
In reply to your favor of the 19th inst I beg to state that the Brake now in the hands of Mr Brown is my invention.
On account of lack of time I have placed it in the hands of Mr Brown to improve the details so as to permit of an actual trial.
He has made several improvements and I think that it is now about completed. I have told Mr Brown that I was willing to License on a royalty basis.
Yours truly
Thos A. Edison
