May 22, 1894.
Wayne Parker, Esq.,
#300 Broad st., Newark, N. J.,
Dear sir:-
At the request of Mr. Edison, I enclose you herewith clippings from the New York Morning Advertizer, of May 18th, which was received a day or two since.
You will note that this item states that the Edison United Phonograph Co. has lost its charter in the State of New Jersey, due to the fact of its not having paid its taxes.
Mr. Edison thinks that this is a mistake, and what was intended was the old Edison Phonograph Co.
Will you kindly enlighten Mr. Edison as to this matter at your convenience.
Yours very truly,
W E Gilmore
