J. Adriance Bush, Esq.,
#10 Wall st., N. Y.,
My dear Mr. Bush:-
I duly received your letter of the 5th inst., as to remittance of $250,00 to Mrs. Jesse H. Lippincott. I have discussed this matter with the Receiver of the North American Co., and he promised to look it up. It is not possible for the Edison Phonograph Works to do anything in this connection, but should I succeed in the business of building up the Phonograph, I would be perfectly willing to do something for Mrs. Lippencott [Lippincott]. I hope to write you further regarding this matter immediately I hear from the Receiver.
Yours very truly,
Thos A Edison
