Nov. 27, 1894.
Mrs. Lily R. Lippincott,
Newton Centre, Mass.,
My dear Mrs. Lippincott,
Upon my return from the Mines, I find your letter of Nov. 19th, and in reply thereto I beg to state that the trouble is that as the North American Phonograph Co. has gone into the hands of a Receiver, I cannot do anything with him, in connection with the matter about which you wrote me. When he sells the whole thing out, however, at Public Auction, should I be in a position to secure it, I shall do the very best I can for you. I regret very much that I am not in a position to say anything more definite to you at this time.
Yours very truly,
Thos A Edison
