Dec. 5, 1894.
Captain C. A. Williams,
Plattsburgh Barracks, N. Y.,
My dear sir:-
Your favor of Nov. 23rd, came duly to hand, but has remained unanswered, due to the absence of Mr. Edison from Town. The writer saw him a day or two since, and ascertained that Mr. Edison has never written but two articles during his lifetime these two articles being published in the "North American Review." Personally, he is very averse to writing anything for publication.
Trusting that this is the information you desire, I am,
Yours very truly,
W E Gilmore
