Jan. 14, 1895.
Richard Wayne Parker, Esq.,
Prudential Building, Newark, N. J.,
Dear Mr. Parker:-
I have your letter of the 9th. enclosing letter from the Attorney-general of the State of New Jersey, referring further to the Edison Phonograph Co. taxes. I wish you would say to the Attorney-general that the fate of the Edison Phonograph Co. depends entirely on the closing up of the Receivership of the North American Phonograph Co., and if certain events transpire, the Edison Phonograph Co. will become an active concern and pay their taxes in full. If you can only get the Attorney-general to hold off a little while longer, it would be a great advantage to me.
Yours very truly,
[Thos A Edison?]
