March 14 5 Geo Griffith Esq- 515 Locust Street Philadelphia. Penna Dear Sir:- Your favor of the 6th inst, came duly to hand and in reply I beg to state that the North American Phonograph Coy is in the hands of a Receiver and its Assets are practically nothing. It was ruined by its President Mr Jesse Lippincott who during the last two years of its [life?] was pronounced incapable of doing business, lost all and died of Paralysis of the Brain. Yours truly Thos A. Edison R[andolph]
