April 5th 95 Geo Griffith Esq- 515 Locust Street Philadelphia Penna Dear Sir:- In reply to your favor of the 2nd inst., I beg to state that the Company was ruined before I took hold of it and we could do nothing that would save it. The whole thing was sold out the other day and for not enough to pay the creditors thirty cents on a dollar leaving the Stockholders nothing. I not only lost all I got for patents but about Fifty thousand dollars besides. Yours truly Thos A. Edison R[andolph]
