Dear Mrs Larson:-
Your letter came duly to hand and in reply I beg to state that I gave you permission to live at my building at Menlo Park until I wanted you to move and which was satisfactory to you at the time and if you will look at the letter which I sent you dated Oct 29- 1894 you will see that such is the case.
Any repairs which you made while at the buildings was not done by any request of mine, and so I cannot pay for something which I never ordered.
