July 12- 1895 Thos A. Edison Esq Edison. N. J Dear Sir:- I beg to enclose you herewith copy of the letter which I sent to Miss Marion Edison with the draft for Nine thousand dollars- You will notice in the letter that you have overpaid her on her Mother's Estate $4223.46/100. Shall I open an account against Miss Marion Edison of for this amount on the Ledger so that if [and?] at any future time anything else belonging to the Estate turns up you can get your money back. I also beg to advise you that the royalty which you received from the Gold and Stock Telephone Cy- has run out. I intended to tell this in person but have been unable to see you as you leave so early for Ogden— Yours truly JF Randolph
