Sept 17th 1895 Mrs John Burke Llewellyn Park New Jersey- Madam:- I beg to advise you that if you will agree to your house lighted by electricity from now until May 1- 1896 I will furnish the electricity for the sum of fifty dollars ($50 00/100) per month and after that time we can make other arrangements- To enable me to light up your house I will be compelled to run a larger Dynamo Machine which will mean the burning of more coal and I will also have to have a man here all the time and as I do not run my laboratory any more at nights and will have to run the plant only for lighting purpose which make the expenses larger. Please let me know if this is satisfactory and oblige Yours truly Thos. A. Edison R[andolph]
