Dec. 2nd, 1895.
R. R. Bowker, Esq.,
c/o The Edison Electric Illuminating Co.,
Duane & Elm sts., New York.
My dear Mr. Bowker:-
I beg to acknowledge with thanks, your very kind letter of Nov. 23rd, which was not answered before, due to my being away, and as a consequence, my personal mail has necessarily been neglected. I have been in New York several times lately, on imperative business, which required my personal attention, and when finished I immediately returned to the very important matters, which are now taking my entire time. However, I can assure you that at the first opportunity, I shall take pleasure in going over to see you, and to meet the staff of your Company. I am now working almost continuously, day and night, dividing my time proportionately between my mining interests, at Edison, N. J., and in bringing out a lamp that will produce a total of 20 to the horse-power, and between the two, I have absolutely no time to spare.
Again thanking you for your kind invitation, and assuring you that I shall take advantage of it at the first favorable opportunity, I am,
Yours very truly,
Thomas A Edison
