Dear Sir:-
In reply to your favor of the 28th inst, I beg to state that I am only at my laboratory Mondays and sometimes Tuesdays and the balance of time at the Mines. I could not find time to go to New York. I have closed the contract with the Ortiz grant people and am making designs for the Mill, perhaps General Palmer better wait until that goes, but if he cannot wait for hour would it do for him to drop over to the Laboratory for an hour.
Yours truly
Thos A. Edison
