In reply to your favor of the 14th inst, I beg to state that the inquiry was perhaps suggested by newspaper reports.
No lease or sale of the Ortiz property has been made to me. Mr. Lanson in his negotiations has I believe encountered many difficulties but he is persevering and will no doubt accomplish the best results obtainable.
